Machine Operator

Do you have manufacturing or warehouse experience? Want to work 14 days in a month? Here how it works, our client operator 24/7. They are on a continental rotation schedule. The condition of the employment is working 12 hours rotating shifts of days and nights every two weeks. The schedule is:

  • Days - 7 am to 7 pm for 7 days, and then

  • Night - 7 pm to 7 am for 7 nights 

You are guarantee 84 hours bi-weekly.   The hourly rate is $16.25. NO CASH

 

What You'll be doing as a Machine Operator:

  • Monitor packing lines, including, straw applicator, shrink wrappers, case sealer, and date coding equipment

  • Circle check prior to production to ensure equipment is functioning properly

  • Follow proper cleaning procedures for all equipment

  • Maintain all equipment and work area in a clean and sanitary condition

  • Alert mechanic if equipment malfunctions and work with them to find the root cause of the problem

  • Perform work in a safe and efficient manner

  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP

  • Compliance with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements

Sanitation Worker

Our client is looking for a Sanitation Worker who is a team player and ready to join a stable and progressive company. They are located in South Etobicoke.

What You’ll Do As The Sanitation Worker:

* Adhere to all sanitation cleaning standard operating procedure, work instructions and requirements

* Adhere to all equipment disassemble and assemble standard operations procedure, work instructions and requirements

* Adhere to safety practices when cleaning chemicals and operating machine

* Ensure proper PPE’s are being used

* Ensure quality of cleaning meets company standards and requirements for areas assigned to clean

* Ensure assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner with high quality

* Clean and sanitize the batching and any other high hygiene areas

* Maintain and upkeep sanitation equipment

* Work with various cleaning chemicals, detergents and sanitizers

* Operate exterior cleaning of batching equipment (i.e. Tanks, Mixer, Blender, Sterilizer, and Pumps)

* Follow manufacturer recommendations as laid out in the SOP’s

* Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting and bending for extended periods of time

* Follow instructions and procedures for cleaning and sanitizing while adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines

* Comply at all times with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.

* Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP

* Compliance with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.

* Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Job Requirement & Qualifications:

* Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent, and candidates with sanitation certification course is preferred

* Previous Sanitation experience in the food/beverage industry

* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a dedication to sanitation and safety

* Working as part of a team, often with minimal supervision and maintaining a positive and respectful workplace

* Adept to machine assembling and disassembling is preferred

* WHIMS/GMP basic knowledge is an asset

* Abiding by Company policies and procedures

* Ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English language

* Food safety and sanitation knowledge

* Must have strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

* Proficient ability to speak, read, write and take direction in English

* Knowledge of GMP’s, HACCP and Food safety principles is preferred

* Able to work in a fast-paced work environment and have good attention to detail

* Ability to work well with other people and as a team player

Working Environment:

* Wage: $18 - $21 per hour - NO CASH

* Work Schedule: Continental rotating AM/PM shift schedule - 7 am to 7 pm / 7 pm to 7 am - 12 hours shifts - average 42 hours per week

Warehouse Material Handler

Our client is currently looking for a hard-working and motivated Material Handler to join the warehouse team based out of their Etobicoke, ON location.

Your duties as a material handler, but not limited to:

  • Stage all materials for Production and Kitting Department as per pick list

  • Generate pick list as per Production Schedule

  • Flagg any shortage or expired material in a timely manner

  • Accurately scale and return items in the proper bin location using RF scanner

  • Work very closely with the kitting team to bring items and clear the kits from the kitting area

  • Be extremely cautious and attentive in cross referencing pick list with the physical item, by matching their item number, vendor number and expiration.

  • Make sure that all items returned to the warehouse are in an acceptable condition as per GMP criteria

  • Proper organizing of materials to ensure the space is used in its maximum capacity

  • Communicate with the planning and kitting team on a regular basis regarding any shortages or upcoming production

  • Performing cycle counts on a regular basis

  • Taking action when items are found damaged or in unacceptable condition

  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP

  • Compliance with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements

  • Must have a valid forklift license

  • Experience in plant, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is mandatory

  • The wage rate for a material handler position is between $18 - $20 per hour depending on the experience and skill level of the candidate. NO CASH

Mixer/Batcher Operator

Do you like working continental shifts? This job is for you. You have to have the stamina for a 12-hour shift. You will be responsible for creating batches or juices, teas or other beverages as required and maintaining the quality and integrity of the product. 

Your duties as a mixer/batcher operator, but not limited to:

  • Ensures quality and consistency in the production processes

  • Accurately add the amounts of ingredients as specified in formulas

  • Accurately weigh and mix all ingredients as per formula requirements to consistently create product to specifications

  • Dispose of ingredient containers in a clean and orderly manner to avoid any product contamination

  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment , devices, or products

  • Gathers and arranges raw materials

  • Maintains batch logs, and documentation including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress

  • Perform work in a safe and efficient manner

  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP

  • Compliance with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements​

  • Food industry experience preferred

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. bags ability to perform physically demanding work and to multitask

Our client is looking for a Production Lead Head to join their Mississauga team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for a number of task within the production facility, but not limited to: 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day smooth operation of the production line and warehouse including coordination and monitoring of duties/tasks, organize priorities, assigning work, and monitors the accurate execution of the work orders.  

  • Assist in creating and maintaining an environment that promotes positive communication within the facility as well as fostering teamwork within the operation
